Pu Miao, Professor Emeritus, University of Hawaii
Professor Miao has been a major force in architectural design in the UH School of Architecture program since he first joined in 1994 until his retirement in 2020. His interest and dedication have always focused on how modern architecture is localized in the Asia Pacific region. As a great educator, he has successfully crossed boundaries between theory and practice.
This exhibition is comprised of six highly selected projects that Professor Miao designed in China, including a few his students' works. Throughout the exhibition, you’ll be able to better understand and simultaneously enjoy the relationship between indoor and outdoor environments, architecture and landscape.
